VDE VDE is a break from the standard 2D window interface. If millions of dollars are spent every year on building more realistic environments in games then why is your desktop, the environment you spend your 9 to 5 day in, lagging behind? VDE aims to create an immersive desktop environment where the user can interact with files and programs as objects and move around the environment as one would in an office or a mansion. Borrowing heavily from game interfaces such as the mouselook and WASD control, VDE improves the clutter of your desktop and brings logic to your method of interaction with your computer. The project alpha is scheduled for release in May 2008.
